Mr. Spear resides in the great state of Texas. Despite his painful and crippled legs, he was able to traverse several times across Texas, taking photos of its inhabitants during the COVID-19 pandemic. Although future generations may look back upon those that lived in 2020-2022 as blind-folded fools stumbling around in darkness, Mr. Spear has a different point of view. He saw men, women, and children with the courage to step forward into the unknown and face an invisible enemy that killed over one million Americans in less than three years. He documented their bravery in photos that are on display at the Salado Museum through the month of August. Each photo is paired with an exceptional and inspiring quote.
Visit the Museum Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
